Dr.
Theresa Flowers
Theresa J. Flowers, (Ph.D., 1999, Texas
Woman's University), lecturer, specializes in 20th century
American Literature with secondary specialties in Modern
and American Drama.
Dr. Flowers's scholarly interests include
women in 19th and 20th century American literature and 20th
century Southern literature. She has written entries on
Caroline Lee Whiting Hentz and Maria Susanna Cummins for Writers of the American Renaissance:
A Bio-Bibliographical Sourcebook.
Dr. Flowers teaches classes in American
Fiction, Modern Drama, and World Drama. This year, Dr. Flowers
is the secretary for the Modern Drama section of SCMLA;
next year, she will act as chair.
In September of 2002, Dr. Flowers became
the Undergraduate Advisor for the Department of English.
