Jacqueline Foertsch
Dr. Jacqueline Foertsch (B.A. Augustana
College, 1986; M.A. U of Iowa, 1989; Ph.D. Tulane University,
1998), assistant professor, specializes in 20th-century
American literature, particularly the post-WWII period,
as well as gender and cultural studies, literary theory,
and film.
Dr. Foertsch teaches courses in American
Fiction, American Literature since 1870, and seminars in
American literature and gender/cultural studies.
Dr. Foertsch is the author of Enemies
Within: The Cold War and the AIDS Crisis in Literature,
Film, and Culture (U of Illinois P, 2001) and has
published articles in College English,
Genre, The South Central Review and
Studies in the Novel.
Dr. Foertsch is beginning research on literature
dealing with the polio crisis in postwar America. She was
born in
Chicago, Illinois.
