Dr. Walton Muyumba

Dr. Walton Muyumba (B. A. Indiana University - Bloomington, 1994; M. A. University of Virginia, 1996; Ph. D. Indiana University - Bloomington, 2001) specializes in African-American literature and American Studies.

Dr. Muyumba teaches courses in The Blues and Poetry, Literature and Philosophy, the Short Story, Modernism, Postmodernism, Race and Critical Theory, and Modern Drama.

Dr. Muyumba is working on a book length study of Blues Philosophy and African-American experience as well as scholarly essays on John Edgar Wideman, Jamaica Kincaid, Ralph Ellison, and the painter, Romare Bearden. His essays have been published in the Chicago Tribune, The Electronic Book Review, and The Indiana Review.
