Lecturers

The English Department at the University of North Texas seeks three new, full-time, non-tenure-track lecturers beginning August 25, 2008. Lecturers typically teach 4 courses per term, mainly freshman composition but also lower-division literature and/or creative writing courses. Required qualifications include an M.A. and relevant college-level teaching experience; a Ph.D. or M.F.A. is highly desirable. Send letter of application, vita, and three letters of recommendation to Prof. David Holdeman, Chair, Department of English, University of North Texas, P.O. Box 311307, Denton, TX, 76203-1307. Emailed applications or queries – to holdeman@unt.edu – are welcome. We will begin to consider applications on May 12 and will arrange on-campus or phone interviews shortly thereafter; the positions will remain open until filled. UNT is an AA/EO employer that values diversity and is located in the culturally and economically vibrant Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. We make every effort to treat lecturers as valued members of the team.
