Defending the Thesis or Dissertation

Upon completion of the thesis or dissertation, a candidate meets with his or her committee to defend the content of the thesis or dissertation. After the candidate has successfully defended the paper and made any revisions suggested by the committee, the candidate is ready to submit the paper to the graduate dean for final approval.
